Marta Dubroff

Many of Marta’s works are born from stains. She shapes them, composing a world of real and imaginary characters that emerge. Marta leans towards the world of women: their thoughts, loneliness, feelings, fears, and their interaction with the surrounding world. She believes that's what it's about telling a story on each canvas. Listening and capturing how that story wants to be told.

Acrylics, spatulas, pencils, brushes, asphalt paint, along with impastos and drippings, give form to her work with a strong gestural and material imprint, appealing to both the background and the characters or gestures that inhabit it. Marta is oriented towards various visual practices: pictorial, graphic, and sculptural. She lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
